School holiday stress - Real Mum story on MoM

Well it’s now week 2 of the school holidays an its these last days before my kids go back to school that I start to lose my mind as I have 4 kids 1at pre school an 1 in year 1 an the other two are 3an an by this time the kids are getting boarded I think an they need to get back to school an I need that free time too I think, I do feel bad for wanting them to go back to school but it just gets so hard to keep all 4 kids entertained for every day of the holidays. An it just costs too much to take them places every day. I’m hoping I’m not the only mum that feels this way an that other mums are getting excited bout school going back.. I also can’t wait to get into routine again..

I cope quite well with the 2 week blocks of holidays. It’s the longer ones at Christmas that cause me the most stress. They’re just too long….

I love holidays and the different pace; time to relax with the kids and not have to rush here and there and everywhere.

It can certainly add up if you have more than one child. We do plenty of holidaying at home activities. Picnics at all the local parks, flying kites, bike riding etc.

I feel your pain. Im from SA and we are only in our first week! We had planned to go to our local library as they have activities for the kids each day (Mon-Fri) of the holidays.. Unfortunately we were all struck down with a horrible tummy bug.
Im hoping we can get in for the second week.
Its a pain when you cant take them out all the time in the holidays. Dont feel bad, its probably very common for most families..
