Hello!

I have a 5 yo preppy that has been struggling with his school work and keeping up with his fellow class mates. I have always known he would be a little behind as he has never really liked the learning side of things before he started school and have always blamed myself for this as somewhere down the line I must have gone about things wrong to make him feel this way. Maybe it was me pushing him too hard or the occasional frustration of it all, I am not sure but I have been feeling down the last few months from seeing all the other children doing so much more (even thou I do know all children develop at their own speed). But today I can sit here and say all the hard work and positive reinforcement is paying off. I got a lovely compliment from his teacher about how well he has improved since the start of term and how everything is now clicking together so well. He also received a superstar award at parade which made my heart melt even more. I am so proud of him, always have been and always will be. He is my strength,my world, my everything!

  • See, it is true, kids progress at their own pace. Your boy took a little longer then the other kids, but he’s there now. Well done

  • It’s nice when our kids overcome hurdles and surge forward.

  • Our youngest struggles with learning too, and it’s a really proud moment when he brings home any award – even ones for good behaviour.
