chocolate fundraisers - Real Mum story on MoM

At our footy club we are doing a chocolate fundraiser where we are all given a box of 50 Freddo Frogs and have to sell them and the money goes back to the club and then with profits they can buy some new equipment. This sounds great but we love chocolate in our house hold and having this big box of chocolates sitting at home we have managed to eat half of them ourselves!! Greedy I know but the temptation of having them sitting there is too hard to resist! So I know we will end up eating the lot!! Oh well at least we will help raise funds!!

I think we all do that sometimes lol! We live in a small community, so when chocolate fundraisers go out at the local school we have no one to sell to.

we also had some kids come around trying to sell some choccies for their club. We bought some for our kids. It is lovely to support the community and these kids actually got off their bum and bothered to raise money

I never liked having chocolate fundraisers when I was a kid. The pressure of trying to sell them all! And I always felt like I was forcing my relatives to buy from me!

Lol, always a hazard when you are trying to sell chocolates to raise funds, I nearly fell into that trap myself, but I immediately took mine to work, problem solved and they all were sold!

Yeah – I hear you. Fortunately I work with a bunch of chocoholics, and they buy them all!!

If you find it a struggle, it can be easier to send the full box back with a donation. The school/club etc can send the box to someone else who wants it and make a greater profit. And you don’t have to worry about the dentist bill!!

MY son has just got one box from his school for their fundraiser only difference is there is a mix of bars and freddo frogs in his. I have been lucky enough to sell some to the mums in my mother group. and i am hoping hubby will take it into his work so we dont suffer the same fate.

Sounds exactly like my house!!! I give them to my mum. Ow and she takes them to work. TEMPTATION GONE!!!!!
