  • White vinegar is a great cleaner all round. Lemon juice is also good as the acid breaks down the soap scum.

  • I usually make a paste of bicarbonate, vinegar and dish washing liquid but reading all the other comments I might leave out the bicarbonate next time.

  • Make sure you use body wash in the shower not soap – this helps decrease the build up of soap scum. I find the best thing to use are environmentally friendly cleaning cloths like Norwex or Enjo. No chemicals and once you have it clean it’s easy to keep clean with the polishing cloth weekly.

  • I’m definitely going to try this one-imagine all the $$ saved as those other products are expensive.

  • Dish soap (I just used the cheap kind and it worked fine, but I’ve had feedback that Dawn dish soap is amazing for this.. the blue kind.)

    DIRECTIONS:

Fill scrubber up half-way with dish soap followed by half-way with vinegar. The vinegar-dish soap cleaner works great with 1:1 ratio, allowing the vinegar to work it’s magic and the sudsy soap to do it’s best as well.

Hope this helps it’s from allshecooks.com

    • Thanks, I’ll try this as nothing else has helped.

      • Fantastic. Thanks Cherz for a great answer. This sounds like it would take a lot of the labour out of all the scrubbing I seem to do and get nowhere with.

  • Same here, we had a new bathroom reno a few years ago and I swear the glass in the shower is sub-standard, I’ve never had this much trouble getting and keeping glass clean ever! I’ve tried all those Wham Bam products, home made solutions and nothing gets is clean like it should, not even Gumption does the job it usually does.

I told hubby the next time he gets out the high pressure hose to clean the car, I’m going to use it to clean the shower (don’t care how much mess it makes), my mission in life is to get the shower glass super clean.
