Creative Writing at school - Real Mum story on MoM

My 12 year old daughter was given a task in creative writing at school. She had to write a snap shot and it had to have feeling . I was very surprised to read she piece, and I wanted to share this with you. It is called MOTHER EYE…….. I look down at my baby. You wouldn’t think anything was wrong with him. All of a sudden the heart monitors start beeping like crazy. Heaps of doctors come rushing in. They say he need surgery urgently….. It has been hours. I’m waiting outsides the surgery. The docrot FINALLY come out. He tells me the gut wrenching news. The first time I read this it made me cry. I hope you liked her story too.

Very evocative! If your daughter enjoys writing, perhaps she’d like to try something called NaNoWriMo – National Novel Writing Month. It’s held every November, and although I’m not sure if it has a ‘junior’ section, the aim for adult writers is to write 50,000 words over the course of the month of November.
