When you think of kids crafts etc you always think of pre schoolers and lots of mess. It is not often you think of 16 year olds and their mum doing crafts together. But last night I went to a friend of mine special birthday (ending in a 0!) and I walked in to the dining room and it looked amazing! It looked like one of those magazine pictures with these beautiful crepe paper balls/flowers hanging from the ceiling in big round balls and the table covered in fresh flowers and candles to match. Clearly they had had it professionally done as it looked so smart. But when I asked she said her and her daughter had made them all together and decorated the room. I thought how beautiful is that that even teenagers can do fun crafts with their parents too but in a more professional / adult manner and still get as much enjoyment for both the parent and the child.
