Dream Job, everyone has one, what's yours?

So, I was thinking as I always dream about my dream job(s).
I have done quite a few things, actually have ended up having dream jobs that turned out anything but. I have worked as a vet nurse, a hairdresser, a piercer, a nanny, not including the in between jobs I had. These were my dream jobs, but they never turned out as such, well I must be honest, hairdresser kind of just fell into my lap.

I am waiting to be accepted into OTEN, doing an events course, but when my baby is older, I actually want to be able to own my own cake business, have wanted to for over 5 years now. Funny story how it started (don’t need to discuss that :P).
I dream of myself owning my own kitchen, having employees and maybe even running an events business on the side. I know my dream job is years away from accomplishment, or even start up, but I still dream of that day, I research constantly of what I need to do, where I would buy supplies from and etc.

So it got me thinking, what do others do? Do you dream of a dream job? Do you have your dream job? Did you have it? Or maybe even your dream job turned out to be your worst nightmare, I’d love to hear other people’s stories of what you have, want, wanted or had. The good, the bad and the ugly :).

my dream job was to be a stay at home mum – I was so lucky to have that opportunity and now I’m able to look after my grandkids during the working day =D

I can’t say I’ve ever really had a dream job…but I found it by accident when I became a mum.

Honestly, I don’t have a dream job. I did when I was a child, I wanted to be a vet like so many other kids. Then as I got older, I didn’t want to do it anymore after realise what they actually do.. Honestly my dream would be to stay at home as full time mother. That won’t happen any day soon though.

Good one you for dreaming. I always dream of a dream job but it keeps changing which makes it so hard to plan for. I have pretty much fallen into most of my jobs but the one closest (I think) to my dream job is working in the office of a member of parliament. Varied, interesting and challenging. But I also want to work in the fitness industry – I just don’t know

Yes I have had dream jobs.
1.corporate, doing technical support. Until I was promoted and bullied.
2.vet nursing. Fell into my lap. Turned out to be too emotional
3.Aniimal rehab nurse. Working for a dog physiotherapist, we rehabilitated dogs after surgery with excerecise and water therapy. Loved this. But was made redundant.
4.technical support from home. Fell into my lap. This is perfect but temporary.
5 Just became a swim teacher. Love it so far
