Goodbye to my Best Friend - Real Mum story on MoM

I lost my 14year old Rottie and wrote this for her and had her cremated and returned to me
by a lovely Pet Cremation company and when i go, she is coming with me and we will always
be together.

Marley, Time has come to say goodbye
Time to shine brightly in the starlit sky
We have loved you dearly for 14 years
Our hearts are broken, we can’t fight the tears
Laura, Jessica, & Darcy will dearly miss you
You loved them to bits & kept them in line to
Your best mate Russell will miss you when your gone
You won’t be around to brag to when he finds your lost bone
You welcomed Hoges into our family
He showered you with treats most happily
You have been my Saviour, Guradian & my best friend
I love you Marley & t will hold your paw until the end.
R.I.P Our Marley girl, we all love you. XXXOOO

That’s so beautiful :,( But so sad. Our old boy is coming up 14 and we are having the ‘what will we do with him when he goes?’ My daughter wants to have him stuffed. That is so expensive and I think I would find it creepy having a dead dog around the house. Another option is cremation. I could cope with an urn of ashes. Just gave to find out a price :/

Sometimes a little plaque or plant in your garden to commemorate your pet can help ease your pain. Maybe something special for your Marley. x

What a lovely poem. I’m sorry for your loss. Its so sad to lose a beloved pet who really is part of the family. With a sick little dog of my own, I am dreading his loss and feel for you and your family.

  And i am thinking of your family, although heartbreaking as it was we were so lucky to have Marley for 14 years in our lives just as lucky as she was to have our love for so long, she was dearly loved and is sorely missed.

Having lost our best friend (a Jack Russell) I understand your grief. We have a plaque on the wall where he loved to lie in the shade so it is a reminder everyday of our little buddy.
