How do you get Motivated in Winter

Another weary cold Friday, I have no motivation to get moving what so ever I honestly look at all that piled up washing and think to myself I cannot handle this today maybe I will do it tomorrow and yes that washing is still piling up maybe I am hoping someone will give me a hand with it but to my surprise no one will volunteer to help why am I not surprised by this. Is it just because its too cold to get moving or am I just getting lazy I think its a little of both Ok now that I have written my story maybe I will now try and start some of that washing I’ll see oh dear its raining again looks like that washing can wait until another day.

Winter can be such a hurdle to be motivated. The colder area I live the harder it was. Living in Toowoomba, high altitude and freezing chill with a not very weather proofed house made getting up out of a blanket so difficult! I just had to suck it up and try to move

Getting started is the hardest, once I get going I try to fly through the work to get it over and done with.

As long as I keep moving I’m fine. It’s only when I stop that I find it hard to get going again.

I sometimes feel the same on cold days. I find I just have to start. That is the hardest part. Once I start whatever I have to do, I get it done and get motivated.

I hear you! the best way to get movitvated is to start! Give yourself 5 minutes and then re-evaluate what you’re doing – I guarantee that you will want to get the job done rather than sit down and do nothing, its starting thats the hard part! reward yourself with a cup of tea or a read, or something you enjoy after you’ve got the task finished. 🙂

I find it easier to get motivated in winter so I can keep warm,in hot summers I feel more lazy. I don’t use heating in the day time to force me to get moving on my chores and then go walking to warm up,chop some wood for the fire and do some more chores before dinner and relaxing.
