I managed to score some tickets to a movie premier for tonight and for only the second time ever we decided to ask the neighbours to babysit our two kids. They were more than happy to and I’ve been looking forward to a night out all week. The kids had their Christmas party at daycare today and I’d jokingly warned my neighbour that they would either be very tired or pepped up with sugar! At pick up my daughter was complaining of a tummy ache and I assumed she’d maybe had too much party food but she came home and crashed out very much unlike herself. She woke not long after with ear ache and just generally unwell so we’ve given her Nurofen and she seems on the mend but wouldn’t leave her with sitters to go out. I gave the tickets to my neighbours and they are enjoying the premier as I type. Oh well maybe another night…
