i could have strangled my delivery doctor

I have 3 beautiful girls who i wouldnt change for the world. With our third we decided not to find out what the sex was. Knowing it would be early due to medical reasons we figured we would meet them soon enough. I think both quietly hoping for a boy. As expected i had a c-section early which is stressful enough. They pulled out my baby and i heard a faint cry. This was a huge sigh of relief. Thats a good sign for a premmie. Being drugged up i missed what the docter had said and asked hubby a couple of times. What is it and is everything ok. He went to the table cut the cord took some photos and came back to me. I could see the look on his face and the glare he gave the doc. Its another girl he said with a smile and she is ok but they need to work on her. i sent hubby with her as i needed to go under for more surgery. Later that night i asked hubby what was wiyh the look you gave the doc ? And he said when the doctor pulled her out he said ITS A BOY and smiled. I was so annoyed with the doctor i could of strangled him. But the main thing was my baby was out and she was healthy. She had a rough road as premmies do but today you would never known she struggled.

So glad she is happy and healthy =) What an idiot Dr!! He should know it is already quite an emotional time with having a baby, a premmie non-the-less and to go and tell you the wrong gender… Does he know how to do his job?!

I’m pleased your daughter came through ok. Did the Doctor make a mistake in saying what he said or was he trying to be funny? Like you said, your baby was out and healthy, congratulations.

I would not have found that funny at all and the doctor should have known he was over stepping the line but the good thing is your daughter was fine

  I was pretty druged for awhile and was more concerned about my daughter. Im unsure if hubby said anything.
