yes, I am one of those weirdos who spoils her dogs. One of them sleeps with me, the other is too old to be able to get on the bed. Which is good as the little Maltese ShihTsu takes up most of the bed, there’s barely enough room for me let alone my pit bull cross red heeler. They have coats for when we walk in the cold or rain. My shopping trolley has nearly as much dog food in it as there is people food. My kids have gone, mall I have is my dogs, nanda I absolutely love them to bits. Can’t imagine my life without them

  • Our dogs have always been part of the family. They know if you aren’t well and are your shadow. I was sick at a friend’s place once. Their dog stayed close to me all day. Normally she would have wanted to go outside and play with one of her toys. After awhile- luckily I was on a large sofabed – she actually got up very gently – I was asleep any movement normally wakes me but she is so gentle and she is a medium size dog- and was lying next to me. When I woke up after a few minutes she came and laid next me with her head on the spare pillow about 20cm away. She can be quite boisterous at times. It is so heartbreaking when you lose your “shadow” companion. I was upset for a few weeks. It was like losing a baby.

  • They bring so much joy. Since the kids left home, the dogs have filled a void. They’re such happy lil chappies, so loving and adoring.
