I dislike rental managers! Never once have I had a good experience.

I don’t know how much room you have but you mentioned getting a boarder. Have a look at a site called airbnb …. It sounds like you are close to Melbourne, so have a look at what other ppl have posted to get an idea what you should do. So rather than have a full time boarder you will make more money doing it this way. Good luck. And you don’t need to tell the agent.

some times boarders can be a good thing. it will help you get back on your feet and I can only say that budgeting will help your money go further.. We went from 2 incomes to 1 with 2 kids buying our home, credit card debt. now we are still on 1 income my hubbie cant work, debts paid off, the house will be ours in 6 months and I am looking at an investment property and I also work in aged care so I don’t earn a fortune. keep your chin up.

Never trust a rental manager! Call My Budget. We were in almost the same boat and now rent up to date and bills paid.

Feel your pain, not with the rental manager who sounds like they need a slap across the face but with all the bills and dept pilling up they don’t make it easy to get ahead these days even when we both work nothing comes easy. I hope use get ahead
