My inlaws are different. They are absolutely lovely to me when im around them but when my other half and I arent chasing them they dont seem to chase us, its hard to explain but I need a vent. The only time they ring us is if they want something, if we want to talk we need to ring them. They dont seem to want to come to visit they say 1000 kms is so far but they can go qld to sa and drive to wa and darwin and the list goes on for holidays. They say they love their 2 grand children but it seems like a effort to spend to much money on them and trust me they have great paying jobs. They say im th best thing to ever happen to their son and so on. Is it just me looking into it to much or does it sound like they could have their noses out of place because we have moved 1000 kms away?

  • We visit my parents way more often than they visit us. Like the 600km drive is easier on us with 4 kids than it is on them. It drives me crazy.

  • It could be they have their noses out of joint because of your move. Maybe they’re just accepting the fact they’re long distance, part time grandparents. I’m feeling the same way at this point in time, so completely unnecessary and what’s the point in even trying???
