Growing up and before I had my two beautiful girls, I was never one to laugh at lame jokes, nor was I one to make jokes. It would have to be brilliantly funny to make me laugh.

The weekend just been my family and I wen’t camping with a few friends and other family members. As I spent alot of one on one time with my two girls I was hearing myself make a lot of what I used to think was lame jokes. For example ” What is a ninja’s Favourite drink? Wa-ter (as I make ninka moves). For some reason these jokes and the jokes my oldest child was making where hilarious to me.

I have now realised since becoming a parent my sense of humor has lightened up and I find myself laughing at the lamest of jokes. But I just love to see my children laughing and being able to come up with some of the funniest, strangest jokes I’ve heard in a long time.

Oh yes and I love how my kids come home with the same jokes and songs we used to use as kids.

We love stupid jokes in our house. The girls always cringe at their dad’s terrible “dad jokes”, but secretly they love them. Its great to laugh together.

Laughter is good for the soul, makes you feel happy, better than any medicine. Children have a great ability to be easily amused, something we adults could learn from. Its lovely hearing children having fun.
