Hello!

I am so glad that my best friend is now married. Not only is the stress over but I don’t have to keep dodging peoples questions about weddings and engagement parties and the like. When ever people would ask about the wedding I would have to answer very ambiguously and say things like they are thinking about November next year, or they have booked the hall for November next year, which reminds me, we need to cancel that now.

It was such an honour though to be one of the very few people who knew what was going on and was there for the bride on her day. It wasn’t the big wedding that she wanted with all the bells and whistles but she has the man which I think is better.

  • I was in a similar situation recently. My sons fiancĂ©e is expecting and I had to keep it quiet until the 12 week mark. I was so excited, it was hard to keep quiet. It’s 14 weeks now, I made it, only made one slip up!

  • This is a very true to life story.

  • I was asked to be a bridesmaid at my nieces wedding years ago…….and I said no. Now I feel a bit bad about it. I was bridesmaid at my sisters wedding, only because it was a secret (that wasn’t really a secret!) so no one was meant to be there. Of course, word spread and there was quite a crowd! I didn’t enjoy it. 4 months pregnant, morning sickness, lots of people watching…..wasn’t nice

  • A surprise wedding is exciting! I agree with you; it is not the size of a wedding, a dress or any of the trimmings for one day. It is about finding the right person for the rest of your life!
