Okay, so we were due to move house on Friday. We had paid the 2 weeks rent as a deposit an were going into the real estate on Saturday to sign the lease agreement. We were on our way down there, when I get a phone call from the real estate saying that the owners have just been into the office and have changed their mind about having children live at the property!! We get to the real estate an are confronted by the 2 landlords ‘crazy’ yelling how they have not been sleeping and have been sick as they have been so worried that the kids might get injured from the 5 steps into the front yard, so they have changed their mind so they don’t get sued!!!
Well, I was obviously beside myself, as we had given 3 weeks notice, new tenants were moving into our place, removalists were booked and now us and our 2 children would have no home in 5 days!
Luckily, we found another house, better, in the same street, and available at the same time to move into. We are now much happier and move on Friday!
I now really believe that some things really do happen for a reason and things work out for the best. Woul we wanted to have dealt with those ‘crazy’ landlords for the whole lease?
