Hello!

Yesterday my 5 year old son learnt to ride his bike without training wheels. He has been asking us for a couple of months to take them off & finally my husband did it yesterday afternoon. It didn’t take him long to get the hang of it. He is so growing up so fast. He started wearing pull ups to bed a few months ago, he then asked to wear undies about a month ago & I told him he had to go 1 week with a dry pull up each morning then he could wear undies. On night 4 he puts undies on & his Father sees him & tells him to put a pull up on, he says to my husband “but I wore undies last night”. He has always done things in his own time, sitting, crawling, walking, day time toilet training, now night time toilet training & riding a big bike without training wheels. I have 3 girls younger than him (almost 3 & 7 month old twins) & my daughter sat, walked, talked at an early age so I can only imagine how quickly we will get to this point with her.

Post your story
  • This sounds a lot like how my son will turn out. From 7/8 months old he had little interest in me helping him. Wants to do it all himself. Never rolled when I encouraged him. Only when I stopped. So much independence for such a little person. I worry what use I’ll be to him when he gets a little older. Definite mummy worry about that one
