My baby starts Kinder tomorrow!!!! - Real Mum story on MoM

Ok so it is only 3yr old Kinder but being my 3rd and final little girl…I’m feeling a bit anxious about it all! It’s only for 1 hour and both hubby and I will be staying there (it’s more for us filling out the forms etc) but I’m so nervous about her liking it! She is very much a Mummies girl and when I talk about Kinder she gets very excited as I explain everything and how fun it is…then at the end turns to me and says “And you stay there with me?”
She went to Child Care 3 times last year but wasn’t a fan…in fact each time I picked her up she was standing at the fence just waiting for me and considering I am a SAHM and she was only going for her benefit we stopped.
I’m hoping that this being less hours and a big difference to child care that she will absolutely love it and not want to leave. That’s my hope anyway LOL!
I’m glad she is a June baby as it means I have her with me (apart from Kinder) for another whole 2 years!!! My middle girl who is 7 next month went early to School but there was never any question about that, She was ready and I was as well!
I’ve never been the one to get upset or cry about my girls starting School but now that it’s my 3rd and final little Miss I’m feeling it!

And now I have the opposite lol…she wants to go every day!!! She told her Kinder teacher she loved her last week. What a relief!

aww i feel the same.
My twins start kindy this year, they will be 4 in june
they start early here
only 5 day fortnight but im very nervous!
my son is in year 3 this year too
very overwhelmed and anxious

I hope she loves it! I have a son who will be 4 in June and we will be doing a couple of hours a week at pre-kinder this year before Kinder next year. He’s never been in child care so I’m hoping he loves it and copes well.

Thanks everyone! She really enjoyed it. When we hopped in the car this is the conversation we had….
Me – “So you really loved Kinder?”
Siena – “Yes”
Me – “So you’ll be very happy to come back next week?”
Siena – With a big smile “Yes”
Me – “And Mummy will stay for a little bit then go and do some things and come back and get you?”
Siena – “NO!!!”

LOL but we have until next Wed to talk about it and chat and even tonight after chatting about it she didn’t say NO and was happy

I feel so nervous just thinking about when my daughter will start kinder. I love every second I get to spend with her and I think I’ll probably miss her lots more and she’ll love all the fun she’ll get to have. Haha
