2014 jan and hubby has come home with a surprise. ..
Two tickets on the sun princess for a cruise. ,I said but we do not have pass ports .. You do not need them for this cruise ..
I look at him..
He said to sit down…
So I sat down ,now it goes like this our cruise will leave from Sydney sail to Brisbane ,Port Douglas,Cairns . Around Willis island .. And sail through the Whitsunday island .. Omg ten days he said .. When do we leave. Three weeks .. I was so excited I rang my daughter .. She knew , I rang our sons both knew .. Peter had been planning it for a while .. Omg what will I wear .. Shopping I go .. Two new dress for formal night. Some new swimmers and 4 new tops. And a pair of beach shoes. , we were advised to get these for walking around the deck .. Chemist sea sick pills .. Whooo hooo I am ready ..
Well it’s our wedding anniversary. And when we get to board the ship we are moved up in the line prioerty omg feeling very special and took a photo of us joining the ship .. We are on board in time for lunch. How exciting ..
Omg look at all this food how do you ever decide what you want to eat .. You clean your hands going in and out .. All care is taken.. Seafood was on order yummy .. A beautiful piece of salmon and a fresh garden salad .. Desserts omg. Well I had three .. They are small serves but still and a lovely cup of tea ..
Back to our cabin .. We unpack just finish .. When we heard the announcement for our life boat drill . Out comes our pocket map .. I was really annoyed I was trying to listen and people were talking . I had to ask them to be quite .. When finished this lady says it’s the same old same old. This is my 38 th cruise .. I said well it’s our first. And we really need to listen.. Took our life jacket back to our cabin. And this lady was opposite us .. Oh she said if anything goes wrong a young couple next door ,that handy .. My hubby said just sing out .. 5 mins later there is a strange knock on our door .. It’s the lady her name was. Believe it or not ..ROSE. , oh would your hubby mind putting my case on the bed .. So Peter did .. Then the man that looks after all our cabins came along .. Oh this poor man. She had him help unpack. Then she want ice in her jug ., oh a top sheet and a light weight blanket. Oh my goodness. She had him running ,we left them to it .. The ship was going to sail we wanted to be up top. She was going under the harbour bridge. Through the heads .. Neither hubby or me had been on a ship before ..
Omg I was so excited. I had butterfly’s. We sailed we watch the heads go by we sail up the coast and we stayed out there until land and home was a tiny speck ..
Peter wrapped his arms around me. Happy anniversary. We had been married 35 years. He said I love you . And I love you. A big kiss ., and we walked back arm in arm the sun was setting. And I knew this was going to be a ho,iday I would never forget .. I am sold cruises are for me. I love it. The people the food. Sun princess took the best care of us we could not of us for anything better ..
We are coming up for 36 years and I love Peter more today then the day I married him..
