Don’t be dismayed
Life has ups and downs
Just look at the bundle of joy you’ve made
There are smiles and there are frowns
There are nights that are rough
But you just have to do it tough
The sleeplessness won’t last
Enjoy it as they grow up so fast
Hug them while you can
Someday you’ll get a day yourself and maybe a tan!
But for now they need your attention
Constant loving retention
Savor when they walk to your bedroom
Because there’s a monster or a footstep that goes boom
One day you’ll miss it
When they climb up your bed and a pillow you get hit
Spend time with them now
Before in their graduation they take a bow.
