Unfortunately I “lost” channels 7 and 9 for over a week (the joys of fibre optic cabling – it is a regular occurance). I saw the opening ceremony and parts of a few events but very few finals and medal ceremonies

The only olympics I’ve seen is whatever they show during the nightly news coverage. I have no interest whatsoever and am hanging out for the return of Home And Away

I liked the opening ceremony and learning about some of the history of Brazil, seeing the innovative dancing and routines that they put together. It was fairly long though.. and would have been nice to have a schedule so you could see the highlights you wanted…the athletes walk on, or the lighting of the torch etc. The actual games are always inspiring to watch or hear about.

I have been watching the swimming and it has been fantastic! Go Aussies!

  The swimming, diving, all of the events and the coverage have been good so far.

The coverage is good and some of the wins have been awesome.
