After battling bowel cancer, when my youngest was 1 my second 3 and my eldest 5, 6 months of dreaded Chemo and what felt like a life time of doctors appointments. I have now come out on the other side CANCER FREE!!! It has been one year on!

But i was then left with the question, what do i do with my life now.!? I didnt want to go back to the regular desk job working 9 – 5 while my three precious babies were in daycare or after school care. Being there with them and watching them grow was way to important to me now. I wanted to be the one to teach them to count, to see them grow by cm day by day. There would be plenty of time once they were all in school for me to work again.

And so it happens i have decided, to not return to work, but to enroll in UNI, and study distance, part time. So i can be there for my children and at the same time, become what i always wanted to be when i was a little girl… A primary school teacher. !!! My life is full and i am so grateful for my journey!

What a beautiful story. What you have gone through certainly puts things in perspective snd I think your doing a great thing. Congrats on being cancer free for a year snd good luck with moving towards your dream career x

Wonderful news! I have been close to a few people with cancer or those who are now living cancer free but my uncle told me it changes everything and the way you look at things now he is madly saving to buy a property to have hi own self sustainable environment like own water, animals, owned garden for veg, solar etc. good luck on your new path and may you enjoy this wonderful life a head with your children x
