I had a bit of a tear today, I took my sons 5 year olds ( and oldest childs ) enrolment papers to his school for next year to them to day and the office lady said “well congratulations you are excepted in to the school”. It was lovley till it hit me in the face my little baby is of to school and no longer a little kid anymore. where has that time gone?
I am looking forward to a new chapter but a little sad at the same time. Just makes me think how little time we have before they grow up and wont need me anymore.

  • I think the same. I got a call from the school saying your daughter has been accepted. A little tear & I still don’t know how I’m going to let go

  • it’s a joy to watch them grow but sad at the same time. I have some that left home years ago and I still miss them not being here in the house.

  • I think all Mums shed tears when their babies start school and really it is harder on poor Mum than the child. It will all be fine

    • My boy is growing up way too quickly. He will almost be up to my shoulder soon. It is a joyful yet sad moment when they start school. I’m facing the prospect of high school in 3 and a bit years and the thought terrifies me.
