Hello!

I cannot believe that the schools have gone back already! It does not seem that long ago in December when we were looking forward to the long summer holiday and now it is all over and back into routine. I feel it has gone too quickly now! I hope everyone has a great first day back at school and roll on the easter holidays!

  • I used to feel exactly how you do… Well, I was almost in tears whenever the holidays finished, because i felt like i didn’t get enough time to do things, go places, etc.. with the children once xmas was over! Then I started homeschooling 3 of our children, so now I can’t wait for the holidays to finish, so we can spend some time without the huge crowds.

I do still feel the sorrow because my eldest still goes to school, so we make sure the holidays are filled with fun and adventure for him before holidays end.. and then we do things without him once school goes back! We can do fun things and call them excursions, because most places we go are also educational.

  • it is good to see my big prep girl all grown up starting school, but I miss her around the house. I will admit though, I am loving the routine and discipline that comes with it

  • I know it goes quickly and it is great not to have such a regimented routine, however it is wonderful to go to the shops and not have hundreds of kids at the shopping centre, I can walk around the supermarket without being whined at and only buy what I need, but my peace will be shattered shortly with the easter holidays.

  • It really seems to have gone extra fast this year! My teens go back (year 9 and 10) on Wednesday (we are in Tassie). Next year I will have one in year 10, one in year 11 and one starting Kinder so I hope this year goes S L O W L Y!

  • Our Term 1 is short due to Easter being early this year so the holidays will be here before we know it!

  • I agree!!! Miss 9 was just telling me this morning how quickly these holidays have gone. I’m ready for them to go back to School though as Miss 9 is ready and eager and Miss 6 is starting to get bored and needing it! My 2 go back tomorrow (Friday) and my Miss 3 has her 1st Kinder orientation :)
