There was a very rare event at our house today. I had the sewing machine out to make some slight alterations to some curtains I had bought. Miss nine started showing interest so I showed her how to sew straight lines. Next mintue, she decided to get creative and made a small pillow for zhu zhu pet. I’m so very proud of her first efforts!

On my , I think she has a hidden talent. Definatly a fashion designer or dressmaker when she grows up lol

Congratulations. If she enjoys it you can get her to practice sewing lines in paper We did it without cotton as it was expensive then but if you put in a color she can see where she followed the line and what she needs to practice..

Congratulations! It is wonderful when kids are interested in creativity and your interests too! It is such a joy to teach kids a new skill and sewing is so useful as well as creative.

  Once a sewing machine could be found in every home. Not anymore.
