Sickness Cycle - Real Mum story on MoM

When are we going to get over this lurgie??

I have been sick on and off for 3 weeks now, hubby has caught it and now miss 2 is sick! – the problem is that every time my daughter gets a cold she ends up with asthma. We now have to have her on a preventer and she needs to have steroids when she gets sick.

I don’t know how to lower our chances of catching bugs, she takes probiotics but goes to daycare so every bug comes home!

I was so relevied to see the back of winter but this is just dragging out!!

Gotta love the family lurgies….NOT! How horrid that your daughter gets so sick from daycare, although it mostly ends up doing good by building her immune system. Wait til you have more kids and the sickness just goes round and round everyone :/

The sickness roundabout started for us last May and didn’t end until Dec. And its back again now and I’m afraid if it lasts to Dec, I will be nutty as. This year, I’m arming myself with all mother’s myth remedies possible to get a head start on the sickness stage that seems to be getting longer and longer!

This sounds just like my house hold. 3 out of 4 of my girls have Asthma. And like you say every time they get a cold…On comes the asthma as well. My 6 yr old has missed a lot of school term 3 because of it. Hang in there…Hopefully everyone will be feeling better soon. =D

oh no i hate sick germs too. Although when we joined my son in daycare we made sure that they understood that due to his health ‘quirks’ he couldnt attend if sick kids attended, and we were lucky that he didnt seem to come home with what was going around. Maybe try vitamin c??
