Hello!

I’m very happily engaged to my fiancé. His sister goes out of her way to make me feel unwelcome and not part of the family. If its just me and her in a room she will leave the room as soon as possible. She plays the victim for everything and thinks the world owes her everything. She kicked her partner out leaving herself to be a single mum of four (remember her choice ) she has not worked a day in her life and lives on government benefits. She has her mum who can mind the one child not in school so she could work part time.

My fiancé and I are saving for a house and a wedding. He works 12hours a day six days a week and I work full time too.

She has the hide to get her mum to ring and ask my fiancé for $6000 because her car is playing up and she wants a new one….

Sorry I know I must sound judgemental and awful and family is important etc but I cannot believe the request.!

In the three years we have been together she has never invited us to her house or even been to our house (yep really close as you can see) I’m still dumbfounded by the request…

My fiancé did say know (we don’t have it) but I’m the worst in the world because we didn’t help…..

Sorry vent over

  • My sister in law destroyed my relationship with my family, so my advice is to set your ground rules now! You must set them with your fiance as well. They say you marry the man, not the his family, unfortunatly in my experience that was not true.

  • You guys have nothing to feel bad about, she sounds like nightmare.

  • mine was a self absorbed cow too – it was hard to get along with her, she had zero personality… but I tried!

  • That is a lot of money to just ask from someone. I’m shocked to hear that. Sorry to say but unless she drastically changes her attitude you’ll probably always have a bit of trouble. Hope your wedding went well!

  • you have ever right to vent so glad your fiancé said no to her. I had the sister in law from hell so glad she is out my life now. So nice to everyones face but the biggest back stabber on earth seen it with my own eyes she hated every female in her 3 brothers lives and turned on me more than once! don’t ever trust her is all I would say. I think these type of women are jealousy you have there brothers instead of being happy for them. good luck

  • This sounds so similar to my sister inlaw, she likes to pretend I am invisible. We use to have family get togethers and she would always talk passed me, never make eye contact not even a hellow or goodbye.. I have always tried to be pleasant as my husband loved getting together with family, but she would make things difficulty all the time. A couple of her reasons for disliking me were the fact that I am tall and she is short and the fact that I wouldn’t get drunk with her. Her husband (my husbands brother) lost his job and their marriage was about to break up when my husband found a job for him at his company. We saved the marriage (unfortunately) and yet never even a thank you. And I am still treated the same.
