Hello!

After two years feeling like I had to be there 24/7 for my little guy in order to be a “good mum”, I have now decided that I need to make time for me. Every time I drive out of that driveway, I battle feelings of guilt, thinking that I should turn around, go home and be a mummy – but everyday I persevere, and drive away for that precious window of time where I’m not “mummy” and can instead be me.

I have been having me time for a week now, and do you know what? The wheels HAVEN’T fallen off our family unit…..fancy that.

  • if you dont have the mee time to relax and get your feelings of self back, you may loose yourself entirely and be only what others see, its great to see you doing things for yourself too

  • Good on you. As long as the baby is taken care of while you’re away of course!

  • I need to do this as my husband wont take them out of the house for me ( he just doesn’t think to do it) i would just love some me time at home without going anywhere. Might have to just ask him if he could take them to the park or something.

  • To be the best mum you can be, you need to be healthy, relaxed and feeling good inside and out. So you need that time to yourself to recharge and come back fresh.
Its not selfish to put yourself first because if you werent at your best, kids can sense that and they will know something isnt right
at least a few times a year to take a day, relax and recharge

  • Good for you to take time out – I’m sure you will return home feeling happy and confident and more appreciative when you are home that this will ensure you are an even better mummy :)
