My daughter is 2. She has always been a great eater of vegetables until she hit the stage where she didn’t want them anymore. She is texture sensitive so not very good with multiple food textures at one time. I was at my wits end for a little while with her just eating bits of veggies here and there.
Then my sister leant me a book that had a whole bunch of everyday recipes like cakes , biscuits and we’ll as meat dishes that all contained pureed veggies.
So I have now got a frozen assortment of pureed veggies in my freezer and I add them to different things I cook that my toddlers eats. It’s made life much easier.
For example, I make mini egg and bacon pies in muffin trays, I beat up the egg along with broccoli pumpkin and cauliflower puree. You can’t even taste it.
I add pureed cauliflower to a cup cake packet mix, can’t taste it.
Pureed carrot and cauliflower to muffins.
It has made things less stressful for myself know my growing girl is still getting the nutrients she needs.
I still offer veggies in other ways too but my hidden pureed mean I don’t have to worry.
I hope this helps some other Mums
