Hello!

Being a first time mum there are many things I would do differently if I can go back to when my bub was first born. They might be silly or blatantly obvious, but here goes anyway:

1) Never wash bub with non-baby soap

Even if it was a particularly messy poop and the soap was right there…

2) Switch to a faster flowing teat when bub starts falling asleep from drinking and getting hungry again very quickly

Took me a month to realise the teat is not flowing fast enough, my poor baby was sucking 100+ times to get through 50ml, so she falls asleep by 100ml (pretty good effort already I reckon, I’d be gone by about 80)

3) feed bub solids in different chairs / positions if she resists / screams every time she’s put in the highchair

She probably just hates the highchair, not the food. As soon as I changed to the bouncer she started taking everything I give her.
