Whale Watching - Real Mum story on MoM

I woke up this morning feeling really flat, just one of those days when you literally have to drag yourself around the house doing the essential things just to get out the door when you really would just rather be in bed! So that was my start. Finally got to work, 20 minutes late, the sun is shining and I just didn’t want to be here. Now I have lived in this beautiful seaside town for 4 years now and even though the whales come through every year, I was yet to spot a single one, despite being on the whale watch notification system, they just seem to hide from me!! However, at morning tea time I got the alert of 2 whales swimming around in the bay. I thought I would go have a look and to my surprise there they were, not hiding but playing in full view!! It has made my year!! I love my little town, what a way to brighten a dull day.

How lovely for you. I’ve yet to see whales, but was so excited a few weeks ago when I saw four dolphins playing at our local beach. They were in the shallows and stayed for about half an hour. It was very special and I’ve been looking out for them ever since.
