Working away - Real Mum story on MoM

I am dreading the next few months. I have two beautiful children but for work purposes I have to work away from home for the next 10 or so week, followed by a couple of weeks at home and then another 4 weeks away. Thank goodness I’ll be able to get home on the weekends, but I just feel sick at the thought of leaving these beautiful kids and they will grow so much in the meantime. I will miss them terribly, and while I hope they miss me too I also hope not too much. I think they are probably too young to really understand.

It’s a difficult situation, but as someone else said luckily these days we have FaceTime and Skype, so that you can still be a visible presence in their life

Yes it’s hard but have to do whats needed .Lucky today we got great technology as Skype & mobile phones .Be strong &time will fly .

its hard to leave your kids. give them a picture of you to put next to their bed.
