I’ve recently seen alot of things about internet dating and how bad it has become. It really saddens me that this has happened as this is the way I met my husband. My mum had met her partner months before I even decided to give it a go. I did think it was for older people, desperate people and fake people. I decided to give it a go anyway. I put my profile up and waited. For a year I had my profile on Oasisactive. I met only 2 guys in person, but soon realised they were both friends with friends and there was no connection for us but a good friendship. Other people only wanted one thing, which was somewhat annoying and not what I was after. I decided that it was not working and starting sending messages to the people that I had met online, letting them know that I was deleting my profile. As i was going through my friends, i received a request. I took a look at the profile and he wasnt someone who i would normally go for but i thought that could be my problem. I added him and we talked online for 4 months before we met in person. We met at a beer garden with friends and instantly we connected and from that day we were inseparable. We are now married with 3 children and Ive never been happier. I look at him sometimes and still think what if i deleted my profile, i would never of met him. I really believe he is the one for me. The connection we have is almost unbelievable!
If this is something you have considered doing, make sure you talk online for a while and when you met, met in a public place. trust your gut and always be safe x
