A new child-minding service is allowing parents to bring their kids to work over school holidays.
KidsCo Australia allows kids to be in the same building as their parents without the hassles.
“We work with the employers to set up a program in whatever space they give us – be it an auditorium, a board room, a function room – and set up our dynamic themed days in the workplace,” company co-founder Laynton Allan explained to 9NEWS.
“Then we have a team of teachers that come in.”
The service costs about $88 per child per day, with some companies happy to foot the bill; alternatively, parents can pay and claim the expense through the government’s Child Care Subsidy.
Liberty Financial’s Bourke Street office in Melbourne is among several Australian businesses, including Cotton On Group and Swisse, that have jumped on board with KidsCo.
Parents have said the in-house child care has alleviated some of the stress of organising childcare during the holiday period.
Would this be great for your family?
