Hello!

Remember payphones? They’re still kicking around and if you’ve got one near you, the kids can get in touch with the jolly man in red right now, without needing to scrounge up coins.

In the spirit of connecting during Christmas, Telstra wants to make sure Aussie kids get the chance to speak to Santa. So, kids can call Santa free from Telstra payphones, and let him know everything they have on their wishlist. All kids need to do is dial #HO HO HO (#46 46 46) from any Telstra payphone from now up until Christmas Eve. And it won’t cost a cent.

And this year, there’s a gorgeous little twist! Mini, kid-sized payphones will be set up in select Telstra stores in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane until Christmas Eve!

It’s a chance to spread a little extra Christmas cheer, and with more than 14,000 payphones still scattered across Australia, kids should be able to find one nearby.

So what are you waiting for – take a stroll to your nearest payphone and dial up the Christmas fun!

  • Oh the small phone booth is adorable!! Outside of the facility my toddler has swimming lessons is a large booth with stickers saying “call Santa here”. I thought it was such a beautiful location to have it set up, so many kids are passing through every day. I really love these community services.

  • What a great idea. Sometimes Mum’s are too busy and forget about the letter to Santa so this is great. I have a phone box just down the road and I’ll take my grandson there to talk to Santa. Wonderful idea. Telstra can afford it too!! ????????????????????????‍????????????‍????????????‍????????????

  • This is so adorable. I love in a town almost 2 hours out of the major city and there are heaps of phone boxes around, one is at the end of our street. It’s used regularly. They aren’t a common sight in the big smoke but are a fixture for small towns.
