I looked down at my longtime companion, friend, and confidant.

“You were always there for me,” I thought, remembering significant times, the excitement of my wedding day, the birth of my first child, and high school graduation as well as the everyday moments that meant so much to me.

  • Thank you for sharing 🙂 🙂

  • I’ve recently quit for the second time, non smoking is way better.

  • I quit four years ago, and now am so glad that I haven’t taking it back up. I didn’t want to smoke around my children and am glad now my eldest doesn’t remember me smoking.

  • Congratulations on being so strong. just thinking of all the money you will be saving should keep you on track.

  • My husband quit first. Then I figured if he could quit I could. No ‘slowing down’ we both just stopped. The first week was the hardest. Putting away all the ashtrays helped and if it was ‘too much’ or I was ‘too stressed’ I went for a walk.

  • I quit and for a year then started back up again. This time I’ve had 4 cigarettes over the last month. I’m doing good but socially it’s always hard.

  • great effort, you have helped push me closer to trying

  • Great effort as it’s extremely difficult. I have given up a few times which means I wasn’t successful. It’s mind over matter & you need to be ready mentally. I am currently a smoker but hoping for not much longer. May your bank balance be that bit healthier too lol 🙂

  • Well done! I quit when I had my daughter then slowly had some here and there and as time goes on it got better and now I cringe everytime I smell cigarettes, trying to help my partner now who is trying to quit slowly, he never smokes around the kids so we have had no mimicking thank goodness!!!!

  • I am in the process of quitting now,i have bought one of those e cigarettes and e juice in the space of a month i am only having 5 cigarettes a day now and they are mainly the habit ones that are the worst to give up like the first one in the morning and last one at night. I highly recommend these e cigarettes, as i have managed to get from over 30 a day down to 5 with very little effort. My next hurdle will be the last 5 i plan on tackling real soon
