When my kids were little we always created wonderful memories from each time we had a trip away. We often talk about some of our travels.

it doesn’t matter where you go as long as you are together and happy. memories cost nothing but time

Thank you for the ideas. It is so true that they grow up too quickly. I’ve always wanted to go to Disneyland, what a magical place it would be.

Great list if you’re lucky enough to have oodles of money. The memories I made with my family were camping trips in the backyard, fishing in the local creek, building cubby houses, bike riding, trips to the park, camping in the lounge room on wintery nights and having DVD marathons. I know we all enjoyed this time together, even tho we didn’t spend lots of money

Love this list ! Except for one big trip to different countries in Europe we didn’t take our kids on holiday yet. Maybe one day when money is rolling 🙂

always wanted to take my children to disneyland. it is definitely on the list. Have done a few of these on th elist…a few more to go 🙂

Was lucky enough to give my children their first plane ride to Cairns for a 2 week stay, and saw Barrier Reef, Green Island, Lizard Island, the Atherton Tablelands, Kurunda, etc. It was a magical holiday and fortunately at 16, 12,10 & 8 they still remember it and talk about it many years later.
This list is a good one, most of which we have ticked off.

Love this list! Would love to cross them off the ‘to do’ list.

Disneyland is the top of my kid’s wish list but I think we will do some closer to home travel first.

Oh yes ! I would love to travel Australia, rent a snow-lodge and a beach house, travel Europe and Africa…but I’m afraid our salary isn’t sufficient !

  Same here. You might have also done my above list of life memories? I sometimes think article writers forget about those of us who don’t have unlimited funds for overseas trips etc. I know I still had a ball with my kids

What a great list. My little ones are still very little but I look forward to when they are a bit bigger and when we can have some amazing family adventures that I hope they will cherish.

Another great experience is a farm stay. Feeding animals and seeing farm machinery.

This is a great list. We go camping fairly regularly and the kids love it. I really want to take them to the snow but have to convince Hubby who’s not too keen. I looked up a zoo sleepover but they are quite expensive. We’d also love to do the family cruise when they’re a bit older and possibly Disneyland. Hubby and I have done both those but they would be magical for the kids.

We have been wanting to go to the Blue Mountains for a long time, but there’s always something that gets in the way whether it’s family functions, work deadlines, the weather forecast …. hopefully we’ll get there one day.

  I visited the Blue Mountains in different occasion and it’s such a beautiful place!!

Oh yes. I live in WA and in my bucket list I’ve got visiting Broome and riding camels, and going to Monkey Mia and swim with dolphins. We really need to work to let it happen.

Great tips. People would always tell me that the time flys by when their babies and now I know it’s true.
