  • Valentine’s isn’t celebrated in our house. We both decided years ago not to go there, just another rort to make money for some. We like to do things off our own backs to show we still care for each other

  • Everyday is Valentine’s day in our house – just praying there will be many more of them.

  • Why are special days so commercialised these days?
Every day you should tell each other you love him/her.

  • I was never much in Valentines day, but a wee card and gift is a nice gesture. Not necessary, but nice to do that on any odd day as well. I gave a wee gift to all the kids as well, just to say I love them.

  • I think having the same day to celebrate love as everyone else is a tad generic. I think it is more special if you show someone any day you chose to surprise them with something to show your appreciation of them

  • I had to work so we couldn’t do anything. I usually decorate our bedroom with rose petals and red love heart balloons and write something in the love book in the newspaper. then we make a nice romantic meal together and sit down and relax while kids are in bed. I missed that this year….but can def do it any day of the year :)
