I never thought you could use your slow cooker to make French toast!

I prefer to cook mine in a frypan but this is definitely a new take on French Toast.

Think I prefer it on the stove.
I never add sugar to the recipe, leave the cream as topping out and use seeded sometimes sourdough bread. We serve it with raw honey -straight from the hive- or yacon syrup.

Very cool. I love French toast, usually I have it plain and I put some parmesan in the egg mixture rather than serve it sweet.

French toast was always a favourite when I was growing up and after watching the video I feel like making it now. Waiting for a slow cooker probably would be too much for me but I can see how delicious and easy it is. Lovely recipe.

Love French Toast – but we cook it quickly on the stove top. Three hours of waiting for french Toast would be torture! 😉

I’ll leave this recipe for other mums to try & eat, this recipe is too sugary for our household

I make my french toast in the fry-pan,so much quicker!

oh wow, 4 hrs! – my kids couldn’t wait that long so I think I will stick to stove top! – it does look super yummy though.

we always have ours with a bit of cinnamon sugar and maple syrup – dont worry we only have it about once a month as a treat!

I make it on the stovetop or in the George Forman grill. it’s quite quick that way

As this is a single household, I’ll pass on this idea. It cooks quite quickly on the stove top for just one – the slow cooker might be great for a family, but who wants to wait four hours for it.

I make my french toast on the stovetop and it cooks very quickly.

That’s a lot of electricity use to make a few slices of french toast. You can cook it the normally almost as quickly as it takes to prepare it.
