There’s never a good time to be stuck in traffic, but while you’re giving birth is probably one of the worst times – just ask Deshai Fudd! The amazing mum gave birth in the passenger seat of her car, in bumper-to-bumper traffic.
Deshai and her husband Loston were just 15 minutes from the hospital in Atlanta when their little girl decided to make a dramatic entrance.
“We were there (in traffic) for about 10 minutes and my water broke,” Deshai told Fox 5. “And then something like exploded in my pants and I was like, ‘Something is in my pants, can you check and see what’s in my pants?!'”

Her husband, who was trying to negotiate the traffic, looked to see what had happened.
“He was like panicking trying to drive and look and he was like, ‘IS THAT THE BABY?!'”
Loston was unable to comprehend what he was seeing, and his response was hilarious.
“Ok, it’s the baby, we good but it’s in your pants, we’re not good. There’s still 15 minutes on the GPS! It’s bad, bad! Put it back in, put it back inside of you now!”
But the proud dad was able to flag down a passing police car, who then escorted the trio through traffic and to the hospital.
“I didn’t even have time to have an emotion, it was just total shock,” Deshai said.
Once they arrived at the hospital, the car was swarmed by nurses who cut the baby girl’s umbilical cord and then took her inside.
“This was very scary but we are blessed to have another healthy, beautiful addition to the family. We can’t wait for her to grow up and hear her crazy birth story.”
Deshai has since shared video footage of the dramatic birth on TikTok, with the video amassing more than eight million views.
Deshai and Loston have two other children, and for the record the mum-of-three says they were both long labours – one lasting three days!
