The new sticker collectibles are inspired by the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo!

From Wednesday 7th July, Woolworths is launching a new set of sticker collectibles to celebrate the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo! For every $20 spent you spend in store or online (no need to leave the house!), Woolworths customers can collect an Aussie Heroes sticker pack to build into their own Olympic and Paralympic-themed collector album. How cute is that!?

Inspiring The Next Generation

The new range will feature sixty-eight past and present Olympians and Paralympians, including Cathy Freeman, Dylan Alcott, and Matthew Mitcham. Woolworths says the range will celebrate some of Australia’s greatest athletes and future champions, in the hope of inspiring younger generations to live active and healthy lifestyles.

Each sticker features key information about the athlete, including their birthdate and accomplishments. We especially love that the stickers also include the athlete’s favourite fruit or vegetable! Anything to help us encourage our little ones to explore healthier foods from a younger age and help them reach their full potential!

Getting In The Olympic Spirit!

Saya Sakakibara, an Olympic BMX Supercross Rider, said she was honoured to be included as part of the range.

“Having been a BMX rider since 2007, I hope this collectibles range encourages Aussie kids to get active and inspires them to have a go at all different sports,” she said.

“I’m proud to be representing Australia at the Games and hope all Aussies come together to get behind the team as we hope to make history in Tokyo.”

If you purchase a participating product, you will receive a bonus sticker pack, and Woolworths also have an Aussie Heroes collector case available for $3.00, while supplies last. This is a wonderful time to make a difference and support the Australian Paralympic team, with customers invited to make a donation to Paralympics Australia in-store.

We can’t wait to start collecting all the athletes and learn about their amazing achievements!

  • My kids loved collecting these during the Olympics. It helped bring the sports to life for them.

  • This one has completely bypassed me and my kids.

  • My boys are too old for these but I know many children who will love them but can’t get to a Woolies store. I’ll be collecting for them and hopefully put smiles on their faces.

  • I love the thought behind this but it’s another thing to Gather dust so I’ll be passing on this one

  • While this is a good idea I did prefer it when they had the more ecologically friendly plants. We don’t need more plastic waste from supermarkets!

  • I guess I will collect them for the kinder box construction table!?

  • Oh good grief no!
Stickers everywhere where they will be hard to fully remove cleanly…. even with the special book we all know that they wont end up there, but on furniture, walls, clothes….

  • I’m not really interested to collect these. I don’t really need stickers in my house stuck onto furniture and walls. Maybe one of my four kids may like these, but the others won’t be interested.

  • Great concept but a little too boring for my young kids..not sure I’ll participate in this one

  • As a Woolies worker I dread these haha.

  • Good idea but I can see it being as short lived as everything else. They will end up in the trash because you can’t recycle stickers

  • My daughter will love these and they are a talking point for us to help with her vocab

    Reply

  • Mercifully I don’t think my kids will be interested in these. We’re not sport fans.
