These are all such fantastic ideas. Not too enticing as the rain falls down in Melbourne at the moment!! But, the idea of summer if exciting.

What really clever ideas – thanks for sharing.

We use water play to help practice measuring and tipping with no mess. Another of our favourites is just painting with plain water onto the concrete path outside. We paint pictures, practice letters, and play naughts and crosses. Sometimes we use paint brushes and a dish of water, other times just our hands and feet.

Great ideas but it’s already starting to get a bit too cold now.

What superb ideas! It is really hard to find activities to keep kids busy in the heat, they usually don’t want to move

Good water play ideas to store and keep in mind for when the weather warms up again and it’s hot. Some of these look like a whole lot of good fun. I like the excavation idea.
