Hello!

This is a little bit fiddly but it is actually straightforward once you “get” it. It’s hard to explain in steps so I suggest you look up a video tutorial on youtube to see best.

Material

  • 1 elastic
  • 1 bobby pin, stretched out

Method

  1. Section of a portion of hair around the top part of the crown from the top of the left eyebrow to the right ear. Tie it up out of the way.
  2. Braid the remaining section of hair as normal.
  3. Take the bobby pin and insert it through the top section of each part of the three stranded braid.
  4. Take a section of loose hair, pinch it to form a small loop, then pass it through the eye of the bobby pin. Gently pull it through the braid while keeping your finger in the loop to maintain the "bow" structure.
  5. With the tail end of each bow, pass it behind the braid. Continue with more sections of hair and more parts of the three stranded braid.
  6. Finish up with the remainder of the hair and secure with an elastic.

  • This is nice for a wedding or a special occasion, personally I wouldn’t do this to my child on a normal day

  • I’d love to try this but think I’d have to practise on a doll a few times first before attempting it on my daughter. It looks tricky!

  • This is adorable but my skills at doing any type of hairstyle is a trainwreck lol

  • I would never, ever have the time to do this before school and childcare drop offs. Please don’t judge me for this comment, but as a solo parent working full time with kids who dont sleep through the night, working full time, even if miss fidgetpants stayed still long enough to do this, there honestly isn’t the time – a brush through and quick hair band is all I have time for.
