A great way to make a plant box and grow sweet peas


Material

  • 1 pack of sweet peas
  • 1 bag of soil
  • 1 old wooden box
  • 1 drill
  • 1 bag of rocks
  • 1 pot varnish
  • 1 skewer

Method

  1. drill holes in the bottom of your box for drainage
  2. paint the box with varnish to seal it from water and rain
  3. fill with rocks for drainage
  4. add soil
  5. skewer holes for your seeds
  6. drop in the seeds and recover with soil
  7. water
  8. watch grow

  • Instead of using a heap of potting mix, fill the box up with hay and put an inch of potting mix. This will help the seeds germinate due to the warmth coming from the hay. Could always
    Just use a bale of hay but the box wont have birds picking it out for nests
