Bath paints are FUN FUN FUN!! Often however, they contain soap, which is no problem for most kids, but if your child is like mine and has sensitive skin, this is a great alternative – that can be used every day – FUN FUN FUN!!

Material

  • Corn starch
  • Water
  • Food Colouring

Method

  1. Add equal parts of corn starch and water, mix well.
For a fun bath I used about 1/2 a cup of each.
  2. Divide into smaller containers, or like we did - use an ice tray - as it has great little separate compartments!
  3. Into each container (or compartment) add a little food colouring. A little will go along way, I literally dipped a toothpick into the food coloring and then into each compartment. Stir Stir Stir!!
  4. Your bath paint is now ready. If you make it in advance it may need a stir before using as the cornstarch settles.

Notes

After we played in the bath I was completely able to spray it all off, you may want to be careful around grouting, and if you are worried, test some first, before the artist arrives.
