These are super great for children they look fantastic and are so easy to make. They are a fantastic homemade glitter shaker.

Material

  • 1 child proof plastic container
  • 1 bottle glitter
  • 1 bottle food colouring
  • water to fill bottle

Method

  1. Put any colour glitter you like, put a few drops of your preferred food dye and fill up with water allowing a little bit of space left over for shaking.making sure you have a childproof plastic container.

Notes

This is a great project for the kids at home.

and easy when you have empty bottles lying around the house.

  • A really clever idea that can easily be made child-proof [by gluing the lid on or taping it down with waterproof tape] and each child could have different colours. How proud they would be to make something like this for Grandma for Christmas? Thanks so much for sharing this idea.

  • May I suggest gluing the lid on with really strong glue. You could always do this once the children are asleep so it has plenty of time to dry. You could also add special coloured tape around the seal as well too hide any glue that might show up.

  • I would suggest to tape the lid securely, those little hands might want to unscrew the lid and take a glitter drink…
