Experience the all the magic of the festive season at the Christmas in July celebration during The Bastille Day festival in The Rocks!

Even though a wintery Christmas is a Northern Hemisphere affair, those of us down under can still enjoy all the magic of a cosy festive season with the Christmas in July celebration at The Rocks in Sydney. From the 11th to the 14th of July, the laneways and streets of The Rocks will be transformed into a French-inspired winter wonderland filled with delicious food and handcrafted gifts.

The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year…

As you wind your way through the magic of the Christmas markets, be sure to check out all that’s on offer in the 22 authentic wooden chalets specially imported from Europe for the event. Each one will house delicious winter treats including crepes, mulled wine and classic French cuisine.

Those looking for a unique gift or Christmassy decoration won’t be disappointed either, with pop up Christmas stores selling everything you’ll need to create a magical home when December comes around. If you are able to visit in the evening, the markets really come alive after dark thanks to festive music, faux snow and fairy lights adorning the stalls.

If you are planning to take little ones, arrive just as the sun is setting to experience all the magic without the crowds!

  • If I lived in Sydney I would consider it. Hopefully they will keep the wooden chalets to use again even if the dismantle them, store them and re-build them again rather than them deteriorate too soon.

  • Looks like it’s an amazingly event. I won’t be attending. My mum and her friends have Christmas in July every year, they turn it into a fundraising event for the local children’s hospital
