As the year slowly wraps up and we step into the festive season, where do new and soon-to-be mummas turn to when they want to get their party on?

Nutritionist, health and wellness expert, and mum of three, Kathleen Alleaume, recommends substituting your summer spritz for a mocktail-inspired cold brew tea… and T2 has got you covered.

With alcohol consumption being a large part of the culture surrounding Australia’s festive season, new and expecting mums might be dreading the endless social events where often a bottle of champagne is popped, a bottle of good red wine is cracked, or the Aperol Spritz is flowing. Thanks to the rise of sober curiosity, however, mums won’t be stuck at the kid’s table this year. Instead of sticking to dull options like water, or soda and juice, mums now have a variety of healthy, adult-like drinks to sip on, including teas from the mocktail-themed T2 summer cold brew range.

T2 has truly entered the par-TEA with the launch of its new range of refreshing mocktail-inspired cold brew teas. This range won’t be gatekept by just those who CAN’T drink alcohol such as pregnant or breast-feeding women though….

Kathleen Alleaume says, “Australians are far more in-tuned with their mental and physical wellbeing than ever before so it isn’t just the new and expecting mum’s in our society that are looking for non-alcoholic beverages.”

In fact, according to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare triennial survey, the number of people who ditched alcohol rose from 1,500,000 to a staggering 1,900,000 over a three-year period. This just goes to show how in-demand alcohol-free options are to the growing market.

“With the number of physical and mental health benefits of giving up alcohol, it’s no wonder we’re seeing more people choosing to cut down or cut out alcohol,” continues Alleaume.

For instance, the link between low quality sleep and alcohol consumption is evident, as alcohol lengthens the time it takes an individual to fall asleep, increases the likelihood of sleep disruptions, as well as decreases the quality of sleep.

Swapping out alcohol for a non-alcoholic beverage, therefore, does wonders for your energy levels that we so desperately need around the busy season, as it allows individuals to have a restful night’s sleep.

Alternatively, tea keeps soon-to-be mums and other sober-curious individuals hydrated and full of antioxidants which may improve overall health, with T2’s cold brew mocktail-themed range still ensuring they don’t miss out on the festivities and the social aspect of having a drink.

“Thankfully, mum’s have greater options for something that feels like drinking an alcoholic beverage as brands meet the demands of consumers changing attitudes towards alcohol. A brand leading the way with a healthier, non-alcoholic alternative that is fun and full of fruity flavours is T2 with the release of its Cold Brew range,” adds Alleaume.

Simmer down on a scorching day with spine-tingling, goose-bumping cold brew teas.  So, whether you’re a soon-to-be mumma strictly off alcohol, are sober-curious and want to expand your options, or are even after a delicious base for something a bit stronger, global B-Corp Certified brand, T2, is ready to indulge your tastebuds with its fresh new range of refreshing and fruity teas, including the subtle and juicy White Peach Spritz, the soft and fragrant Pink Juniper Sling, and the mouth-watering and bodacious Strawberry Margarita – just in time for summer.

We’ll drink to that.
