  • The scooby doo clan, as a kid I enjoyed there dramas unfold as they looked through all the clues to get the answers

  • It has to be Monk. He’s not so good at life but he is an amazing detective. He sees the world differently to everyone else and while he is quirky and sometimes just downright annoying, he manages to solve seemingly unsolvable cases.

  • My favourite detective is Alex Cross as he is so passionate about his job and his family and trying to combine both of these so no one misses out.

  • I love both Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple mysteries. I always struggle to work out “who dunnit”.

  • Perez off Shetland. It’s my new Netflix binge and I love him!

  • I lost interest in reading as I got older but Daphne and Velma (aka Scooby Doo) were the original detectives from my childhood that sparked an interest in mystery solving

  • Harry Hole the Norwegian Detective created by Jo Nesbo – he’s the Inspector ‘Norse’ of Scandinavia!

  • Sherlock. He’s kinda sexy in a geeky way solving all those crimes with his mind power….. Gotta say he impresses me…..oh and Watson….he’s pretty cute too.

  • Piorot of course, love his mannerisms and gentlemanly charms, love how he treats Miss Lemon his secretary and how he works his little grey cells as he calls them.

  • Leonardo DiCaprio in shutter island . Was a really good movie

  • Dave Robicheaux in the books by James Lee Burke. I loved the original one and have been following him ever since. He is in Iberia Parish, Louisiana and his story is interesting as well as the murders he solves. Well worth reading.

  • Sherlock Holmes from Elementary – he reminds me of my wife

  • I love reading mystery and detective books! My favourite detective is my 3yo, he pretends to be Sherlock Holmes solving the most difficult and complex mysteries.

  • Inspector Gadget.

He leaps with excitement and searches for clues,
with a looking glass like a telescope.
One time he tripped so hard he flew,
but was caught by his handy dandy rope!

  • Monsieur Poirot and his little grey cells!

  • Jason Bourne from The Bourne Identity series. He is modern, exciting and kept me on the edge of my seat for the entire book series. I was addicted.

  • Sherlock Holmes. I love his sense of humour and his sleuthing skills.

  • Detective Barnaby from Midsommer murders he might he late for meals and cancel engagements with Joyce but he always gets his man or woman and solves the case.

  • SHERLOCK HOLMES ..VERY INTRIGUING ND SOLVES THE CASES

  • I’m a huge Jonathan Kellerman fan, so Alex Delaware is my favourite detective ! Closely followed by Hercule Poirot !
